92 Points, Wine Advocate

"Acacia's 2014 Chardonnay Winery Lake Vineyard is a delicious style of Chardonnay with hints of white peach, subtle pineapple and citrus blossom. This medium to full-bodied Chardonnay has terrific acidity and a long finish." - Wine Advocate

Vineyard Notes

This wine’s distinctive minerality comes from Dijon clones planted in the unusual soils of our famous Winery Lake Vineyard in Napa Valley’s Los Carneros American Viticultural Area (AVA). We hand harvested the Chardonnay from three of Winemaker Matthew Glynn’s favorite hillside blocks, which are grafted to clones 96 and 75 for intense, balanced flavors. The region’s complex geographic history is reflected in the shallow, low-nutrient Haire and Diablo soils, which contain both diatoms from an ancient seabed and volcanic rock from the Mayacamas Mountains.
